Welcome to the German American Chamber of Commerce - Colorado Chapter serving the Rocky Mountain region

The German American Chamber of Commerce - Colorado Chapter (GACC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging, extending and promoting trade, commerce and investment between the Federal Republic of Germany and the Rocky Mountain region of the western United States.

The German American Chamber of Commerce is an integral part of the network of German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (Deutsche Auslandshandelskammern, or “AHK”) with 120 offices in 80 countries worldwide, including six offices in the United States (Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.). The Chamber functions as a membership organization, a trade commission and a referral service for companies and individuals contemplating business between Germany and the United States.

Membership provides and facilitates access to German companies through the 81 German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (Deutschen Industrie- und Handelskammer, or DIHK) in Germany.

The GACC has reciprocal agreements with many other chambers of commerce in the Rocky Mountain region. All members enjoy reduced pricing at all these allied chamber events as well including: French (FACC), British (BACC), Swedish (SACC) and World Trade Center (WTC) events and activities. Individual members are also entitled to many discounts for publications, newspapers, hotel accommodations, car rentals as well as special pricing on Chamber publication and website advertising. Students and Associates also receive free online job-exchange search access and postings. We are currently adding more benefits monthly so check back for the latest updates.

Memberships are valid for one year (12 Months) from date of application acceptance and payment and are renewable annually thereafter.

There are two tiers of membership in the GACC and each offers varying levels of services and membership benefits:

Individual Memberships for student and associate members who enjoy reduced pricing to all Colorado GACC events such as luncheons, talks, Euro-networking events, speaker's dinners, cultural events, festivals, etc., and  

 

Business Memberships for small business and corporate membership levels for larger companies both of which enjoy the extensive offering of benefits noted further below.

 

Individual Membership fees: 

Student Membership for $ 30.00 per year. Student benefits are the same as an Associate Membership (below) and offered to promote and encourage interest in international business and in the German speaking countries. Student membership in the GACC requires proof of enrollment for a minimum of 10 credit hours and presentation of a valid student identification card from an educational institution offering degrees at the baccalaureate level or higher or from a vocational institution.

Associate Membership for $ 100.00 per year. A non-business membership intended for people interested in the GACC cultural and business events. This category includes individuals who may be retired, members of the Armed Forces, or employees of organizations without a GACC membership, who have a personal interest in GACC activities or international commerce. Many people of German heritage or other ties to Germany find it rewarding to have an Associate Membership in the GACC.  

Business Class Memberships

All Business Memberships receive the general benefits provided to Individual Members plus:

• Subscription to the “German Trade Magazine”
• Password controlled access to the member database for the Midwestern and Western States for online database searches and contacts.
• A copy of the National GACC Membership Directory
• Listing of their company contact data and description in the Online Membership Directory Database of the Midwest and Western States and in the print edition of the National GACC Membership Directory published annually and distributed to all GACC members in the USA.
• Member pricing for advertising on GACC Web site and other GACC publications, including:
  o   Web banner ads and Newsletter ads.
  o   Free Postings to the GACC Job X-Change database for local and national employee searches and postings.
• Access to gratis GACC consulting services such as international business referrals.
• Local and national business referrals in the member’s sphere of business.
• Special and charged services are available at Business Member Rates.

Business Membership Fees:

Small Business Membership for $ 200.00 per year. Companies, organizations and sole proprietorships with 10 or less employees and individuals and executives active in the business world with an interest in international commerce fall in this category. Small Business Members may designate two employees to attend chamber functions and the GACC issues up to two membership cards to these member companies.

Corporate Membership for $ 500.00 per year. Businesses and multinational corporations with more than 10 employees fit in this category. Corporate Members may designate six employees and guests for chamber functions. The GACC will issue up to six membership cards per Corporate Membership. Additional membership cards are available upon request for a nominal fee.

Donors and Sponsor Memberships apply to individual donors to the chamber as well as all Sponsors. Each receives benefits equivalent to our Business Members and also special sponsorship privileges and advertising packages which are detailed on our Donors and Sponsorships pages on our Web site.

Joining the GACC Colorado Chapter serving the Rocky Mountain region is as simple as clicking on the Membership link on the left hand side of this page, filling out the online application form and remitting payment via Paypal or via snail mail to the address listed on the form. Once payment has been received and your membership confirmed you will receive a confirmation email and instructions on joining our secure online email and e-newsletter members-only service and begin receiving the most up-to-date information on our cultural and business activities and events. Business members will receive further information providing membership passwords and usernames for the exclusive GACC online directory systems.
