Membership

The German Amerian Chamber of Commerce, Colorado Chapter is a Non-Profit organisation which is dedicated to encouraging, extending and promoting trade, commerce and investment between the Federal Republic of Germany and the Rocky Mountain Region of the Western United States.

The German American Chamber of Commerce (GACC) is an integral part of the network of German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHK) with 120 offices in 80 countries worldwide, including 6 offices in the United States (Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, SanFransisco and Washington, D.C.). The Chamber functions as a membership organization, a trade commision and a professional service provider for companies and individuals interested or active in business between Germany and the United States.

Membership provides and facilitates access to German companies through the 81 German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHK) in Germany.

Membership in the GACC CO is available at two different levels, each of which offer varying levels of services and membership benefits to its constituents:

"Individual Memberships": Student and Associate Memberships

and

"Business Class" Memberships: Small Business and Corporate Memberships.

These are defined as follows:

Individual Memberships

All Student and Associate Members enjoy reduced pricing to all Colorado GACC Events such as Luncheons, Talks, EuroNetworking Events, Speaker's Dinners, Cultural Events and Festivals, etc...

The GACC has Receprocal Agreements with many other Chambers of Commerce in the Rocky Mountain Region. All Individual Members enjoy reduced pricing at all these allied Chamber's Events as well including: French (FACC) British (BACC), Swedish (SACC) and World Trade Center (WTC) events and activities. Individual Members are also entitled to many discounts for Publications, Newspapers, Hotel accomodations, Car Rentals as well as specialized pricing on Chamber publication and website advertizing. Students and Associates also are given free Online Job-exchange search access and postings as part of their membership. We are currently adding further tangible benefits on a monthly basis so please feel free to inquire about the latest benefit updates for Chamber Members

Individual Membership fees:

All Chamber Memberships are vaild for one year (12 Months) after sucessful application acceptance and payment. All Memberships are renewed annually from based on the date of acceptance.

Student Membership fee: $ 30.00 / Yr.

Benefits are the same as an Associate membership but are offered to students in order to promote our future generations of well qualified commercial professionals. To qualifiy for student membership in the Chamber you must be taking a min. of 10 credit hours and be in possession of a valid Student ID from an official Educational Institution of the Rocky Mountain Region (Schools, Universities, Colleges, Vacational Institutions and Corporate Educational Facilities, etc...)

Associate Membership fee: $ 100.00 / Yr.

Individual, non-business membership. For members interested in the Colorado Chamber Cultural and Business Events. Many Individuals who are retired, are members of our Armed Forces, or are Employees of Non-Chamber-Member Companies or Corporations, who are personally interested in our Chamber Activites but whose Employers are not members of the Chamber or whose work may or may not be related to international Commerce. Many "Heritage German" inhabitants and individual German Nationals are commonly participating as "Associate Members" of our Chamber.

Business Class Memberships

Business Memberships

· All Business Memberships receive the all the general benefits of Individual Memberships

plus:

· Subscription to the “German Trade Magazine”

· Password controlled access to the Member Database for Members of the Midwestern and

Western States for online database searches and contacts.

· All Business Class members recieve a copy of the National GACC Membership

Directory

· Free listing of their company contact data and description in the Online Membership

Directory Database of the Midwest and Western States as well as in the Printed

Version of the National GACC Membership Directory which is published annually

and distributed to all U.S. GACC Members.

· Member Pricing on advertising on Chamber Website and other GACC publications, including

web banner ads and Newsletter ads.

· Free Postings to the GACC CO Job X-Change database for local and national employee

searches and postings.

· Access to non-charged Chamber Consulting Services such as International Business

referrals.

· Local and National business referrals which fall into member’s sphere of business.

· Special and Charged Services are available at Business Member Rates

Small Business Membership fee: $ 200.00 / Yr.

Companies with up to 10 employees and individuals active in German American business. Two employees can be designated for chamber functions. Up to two Membership Cards will be issued.

Corporate Membership fee: $ 500.00 / Yr.

Businesses and multinational corporations with more than 10 employees. Company can designate six employees and guests for chamber functions. Up to six Membership Cards will be issued per Corporate Membership. Further Cards are available on request for a further individual fee.

Donors and Sponsor's Memberships

Individual Donors to the chamber as well as all Sponsors also recieve further Benefits equivalent to our Members but include specials Sponsorship Privileges and Advertising Packages which are detailed on our Donors and Sponsorships Pages (see Sponsorships and Donors on our Website).

Joining the GACC CO Chamber

Joining the GACC Colorado and Rocky Mountain Region is a simple as clicking on the Membership page to the right of this article on your screen, filling out the online application form and sending in the payment to the address listed on the form. Once payment has been received and your Membership has been confirmed you will receive a confirmation email and instructions on joining our secure Online Email and E-Newsletter Members Only Service and start receiveing the most Up-to-Date Information on our Cultural and Business-Oriented Activities and Events. Business members will recieve further Information detailing individual Membership Passwords and Usernames for the Exclusive GACC Online Directory Systems.
